How did you get that picture? That’s pretty cool.
I forgot to say, Emily’s grandpa proposed to Marleen in that very spot. It’s pretty bigtime when you ask him, “where did you propose to grandma?”
And in typical Howard/Sean Connery-esk smoothness he says, “atop the Foshay Tower.”

I stuck the camera up against the eye of the telescope and took about a dozen pictures, figuring one of them would probably turn out.

I remember looking out from the top of the Foshay in summer and seeing a sea of green. I was amazed to realize that I was still looking at Minneapolis and not the surrounding suburbs.
I’m still looking to get the perfect picture of downtown sticking out of the surrounding “forest” from the Minnesota River valley. I have a hazy one that I took from Burnsville Parkway.
What camera you carry Abe? Turned out pretty clear – interesting shot.
